A Collingrove Homestead wedding in orange and blue – because grooms need gorgeous flowers too!
You may have seen our recent post featuring a same sex wedding with two brides, now it time for the boys to have their turn. Traditionally the wedding industry is bride-centric, often leaving the men alienated from the wedding world. We don’t think this should be the case. Grooms should be able to plan and celebrate their gorgeous wedding complete with beautiful flowers. Everyone deserves to have their wedding dreams come true.
Collingrove Homestead collaboration in strong support of marriage equality
Before the successful yes vote, a collaboration was formed by us at Collingrove Homestead in the beautiful Barrossa Valley. Together with real life couple, Matthew & Josh, and a handful of Adelaide’s leading wedding vendors. The inspiration for this styled shoot came from a profound sense of responsibility to show that the Australian wedding industry overwhelming supports same sex marriage.
Who says boys can't have bouquets? At Collingrove Homestead they can!
Our designs and stylings are based on the likes of our real-life couple, Matthew and Josh, whose favourite colours are orange and blue, which reflect around their vibrant personalities and their true love for each other. The incredible duo of florists, Amy from Bella in Bloom and Christine from Blooming Bridal, worked in tandem to design a colourful floral bowtie as a statement piece and provided gorgeous styling based around our fun and vibrant colour scheme. They also included a bright orange bouquet – because who says boys can’t have bouquets?
Collingrove Homestead is a shining example of the beautiful wedding venues in the Barossa Valley.
Love and Lace Studio chose to make the wedding sign featuring a lavish marble tile to signify the strength of their relationship and the luxury of a Barossa Valley wedding. A unique and detailed blue cake from Sugar and Spice Cakes perfectly complements the colour scheme and makes for great same sex marriage inspiration.

We had a fantastic time working on this project it connected us deeply to with Matt & Josh and all the vendors involved. Collingrove Homestead is one of the best wedding venues in Adelaide and we hope to return there soon.
