Way back in 2017, before Australia finally legalised same sex marriage, we felt so passionately about marriage equality and decided that we needed to show our support the best way we could – through our images. The result was a beautiful styled same sex wedding photoshoot in celebration of marriage equality!

We have always believed that all couples deserve the right to experience the joys and wonder of their wedding day, but more importantly to experience the adventure of marriage for the rest of their lives.

Same Sex Wedding Inspo

Being wedding photographers in Adelaide means that we are surrounded with so many fantastic South Australian wedding vendors. All of whom also feel as passionately as we do in support of same sex weddings. Two of our favourite Adelaide florists, Bella in Bloom and Blooming Bridal worked in collaboration to design and create the beautiful bouquets, an arbour, and table centerpieces. By working together, Amy and Christine were able to create bigger, grander and more impressive floral designs. Not only did they provide gorgeous flowers, they also did all the styling. The wonderful Kate from Bluebelle Studio designed stationary, menus and a unique wooden wedding sign. Tash, the talent behind the Sweet Tooth Factory, make a three tiered cake in pink and blue to perfectly match the colours of the flowers. Yum yum!

Marriage Equality is a Human Right

This photoshoot took place at Coriole Vineyards – one of the top wedding venues in McLaren Vale and amoungst our favourite wedding venues in Adelaide. Scenic Coriole offers views over stunning vineyards, a restaurant whose ceiling is covered in romantic vines, and did we mention the delicious wine?

We were blessed with wonderful models for our same sex wedding photoshoot. Two best friends, Melissa and Neroli, looked gorgeous in gowns from The Vintage Bride Boutique and Caleche Bridal House. Our wonderful make up and hair team, Make Up by Kelly Lynch and Lisa Marie Lynch, made our brides looking and feeling great.

We didn’t stop laughing all day and you can see the happiness on the faces of our beautiful brides. Throwing colourful petals in the air and seeing them float in the wind was a highlight of the day. Mother nature showed her support too and the skies opened up to give us gorgeous golden light at sunset.

Love Wins

When the yes vote won and the law changed to allow marriage equality and same sex weddings in Australia, we were overjoyed! Everyone involved in this collaboration are so happy for all the couples across Australia whose love and commitment can finally be recognised under the eyes of the law. So, congratulations Australia! Love won!
