How do we book Wilson and Lewis Photography?

The first step in the booking process is to contact us via our contact page. From there we will set up a zoom call to discuss your wedding. There is no pressure to book at the meeting, it's just a great opportunity to see if we all gel.

Do you shoot in black and white?

Yes, we sure do!Our standard is approx 15% black and white, but we can tailor this should it be requested.

How much do your services cost?

Do I get digital files of the images?

Yes, of course. You will receive image in High and low resolution via online gallery, wedding clients also receive a USB. We do believe wholeheartedly that the printed image is the most beautiful way to view photography so expect us to try and urge you to have some printed products. These items are best way preserve your memories for the future.

Do we get the raw image files?

At Wilson and Lewis Photography, we take great pride in our artistic skills as photographers. Each image we deliver represents is delicately edited to bring out the best in your images. We will only ever provide high quality, fully colour corrected, balanced and edited Jpg files.

Asking for RAW files is like walking into a restaurant and asking the chef for base ingredients.

Why should I pay for a professional? My friend / family member has a flashy camera and the kid down the street is cheaper, why should we hire you?

Wilson and Lewis Photography offer a professional wedding and portrait photography service designed to create unique, beautiful & meaningful photography.

Other than being fully trained, insured, confident and capable - we bring to the table 16 years of combined experience within photography and over 30 combined years of customer service history which enables us to handle your wedding with the utmost professionalism.

Trusting an unproven amateur to photograph a once in a life time event can be a costly mistake!

How far in advance should we book you?

There is no such a thing as being too prepared! We love discussing your plans right from day one, so feel free to call us today. We would advise a minimum of 6-12 months notice for a wedding booking, 18 months to be safe.

Elopements and engagements may only be booked 3 months in advance.

In order to provide you the best possible service we promise never to over-book our wedding schedule. These limited appointments are often booked 12-14 months in advance so please provide adequate notice.

Can we upgrade our wedding album, add pages or customize it? Or order more than one?

Yes, of course. There are numerous colour, materials and finishing options for you to choose. Additional pages and embossing are also available to purchase. Album copies may also be purchased from us, perhaps for your family members or as a loss prevention measure.

How do you deal with poor light or bad weather?

We worked for many years in London, we know all about poor light and bad weather! All of our equipment is of professional spec and built to shoot in low light and bad weather, we also specialize in flash photography so can easily cope with low light environments and can get get creative indoors. As artists we are always looking for interesting angles we can easily adapt to any change in weather too drastic to work in - with that said, sometimes dramatic weather helps make amazing images!

When will I receive my photographs?

As we limit the number of bookings we accept each year so we are able to deliver photographs promptly.

We back up the photos after each shot and begin the editing within a few days.

Wedding and elopement clients will receive preview images within 7 days and full delivery within 12 weeks. Couples / engagements couples will receive images within 6-8 weeks.

During our wedding will you take posed, formal group shots, as well as incidental detail images?

We create a wide selection of images, posed and candid included. We try to keep it light, upbeat and relaxed. Expect some direction but nothing cringey or silly.

Will you Photoshop my images? What is your editing style and what is colour correction?

We describe our editing style as light and non-intrusive. Your images will appear crisp, sharp and vibrant without looking too over processed or artificial. All "raw" image files require editing / processing. The editing stage will add focus to your personality and enhance your unique beauty, we remove any marks or spots which are distracting, but will not alter your appearance in any other way - you are beautiful just as you are!

Should we feed you at the reception?

Yes please... More often than not the photographer works the longest hours on your wedding day.

Hungry photographers are not happy or productive, so most venues are able to supply vendor meals at request. Please note that Tereza is pescatarian - fish good, meat bad!
